Lo primero de todo , perdón por no haber podido escribir antes , pero es que no tengo nada de tiempo últimamente y me esta siendo muy difícil el seguir incluso los partidos de JC .
Como ya sabéis , Juan Carlos perdió su partido de semifinales de Umag contra Dolgopolov por 6-4 6-4 . Por favor , si podéis poner algún comentario de como fue el partido os lo agradecería mucho , ya que no lo ví y me gustaría saber como jugó JC .
Lo que si que está claro es su actual posición en el ranking . A día de hoy (lunes ) JC está el 104 del mundo , pero podría acabar esta semana justo delante de la posición número 100 .
Aquí tenéis un resumen de cuales serán sus siguientes torneos . Su primer torneo de la gira americana será el Masters 1000 de Montreal (también conocido como Rogers Cup ) , que se jugará del 8 al 14 de Agosto . Después jugará el Masters 1000 de Cincinnati (que se juega la semana siguiente) y acabará esta gira con el US Open (finales de Agosto ) .

Here's an English-language account of the match. I don't have time to translate it to Spanish, now, but you are welcome to do so.
I'll address Dolgopolov's game first. On his first serve, he hit very hard, but got a low percentage of those serves in (42%). When Dolgopolov got his first serves in, Juan Carlos had great difficulty. I don't have the statistics in front of me, but I believe that Dolgopolov won about 24 of 28 points on his first serve, with nine aces.
Dolgopolov's forehand was much more effective than was that of Juan Carlos. Dolgopolov had about 16 forehand winners, while Juan Carlos had five or less, I believe.
Dolgopolov was very successful with the drop shot in the first set, winning six of six or six of seven points on drop shots in that set--mostly on backhand drop shots. In the second set, Dolgopolov was much less successful with drop shots, winning only about half of the points on which he tried drop shots. In the second set, Dolgopolov hit more drop shots into the net and Juan Carlos was more successful in reaching the drop shots and, ultimately, winning those points.
Dolgopolov's backhand was shaky in the first set. He made several backhand unforced errors on easy shots in that set. His backhand was more reliable in the second set, except on drop shots.
Dolgopolov is very fast and covers the court well. That was probably a major factor in the relatively low number of forehand winners Juan Carlos had and, perhaps, discouraged Juan Carlos from trying for high-risk shots directed towards the sidelines.
Juan Carlos did not break Dolgopolov in the first set. In the second set, Juan Carlos was much more effective in attacking Dolgopolov's second serve, driving many returns at Dolgopolov's feet. Dolgopolov tried serve and volleying on second serves four or five times. Successful on the first attempt, he lost most of the rest of the following points in which he employed that tactic.
Juan Carlos won slightly over 50 percent of the points when he faced Dolgopolov's second serve. Dolgopolov helped Juan Carlos with three double faults in two sets.
Juan Carlos' first serve was not very effective. He had no aces or one ace in two sets. He, actually won fewer points when he got his first serve in than when he hit second serves.
The first game in which Juan Carlos had break points against Dolgopolov in the second set, Dolgopolov escaped with a good first serve and a very good drop volley or drop half-volley on a topspin forehand Juan Carlos got to his feet.
Juan Carlos finally broke midway through the second set (after Dolgopolov had broken in the first game of the second set), helped by Dolgopolov errors, including a poor drop shot.
This brought Juan Carlos back to 4-4, I believe. But Juan Carlos was shaky in his next service game and was broken again. Dolgopolov held once more to win the match 6-4, 6-4.
Much less aggressive from the baseline than Dolgoplov; Juan Carlos had far fewer winners and far fewer errors from the baseline. Juan Carlos was seldom aggressive in going to the net after hitting strong, deep shots he hit into the corners. This lack of aggression hurt Juan Carlos, because he ultimately lost at least three of those points--one on a missed overhead, one on a Dolgopolov passing shot off a poorer Juan Carlos approach, and one on a Juan Carlos unforced error later in the rally.
Juan Carlos was moving relatively well. If he can stay healthy and read first serves much better than he did against Dolgopolov, Juan Carlos should be able to win many matches during the rest of the year.
jc got a big trouble when returning dolgopolov's first serve and the drop shot. though in the second set, jc got chance to reverse the match, but he didnt hold the edge, in those games, he played very active. well, although i'm upset for the loss, but dolgopolov deserves the victory for his stunning performance. now i can expect jc's hard court performance and the chinaopen, this year i may go to bejing to watch his playing tennis!
